Why Do We Give?
As Christians, giving is one of the most tangible and practical acts of worship we can offer God.
The act of giving allows us to acknowledge that not only is He the giver of everything that allows us to enjoy life (1 Timothy 6:17), it is also a way we express our gratitude and love to God, who made a way for us to have eternal life by giving His only Son, Jesus Christ, as payment for our sins (John 3:16).
In the same way, giving is a way we express our trust in His provision to meet all of our needs as we live lives of obedience and faith in Him (Matthew 6:33).
